The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO) invites you to a spellbinding evening of classical music on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at the stunning Katara Opera House in Katara Cultural Village, Doha. This special performance features two of the most revered works in classical repertoire: Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, “From the New World.”
World-Class Performance Featuring Eric Lu
Headlining the evening is Eric Lu, the brilliant pianist and winner of the Leeds International Piano Competition, who has been described as “the finest pianist of his generation.” Lu will perform Frédéric Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 2, a poetic and emotionally rich composition that showcases his signature lyricism and virtuosity.
Under the baton of conductor Renchang Fu, the orchestra will also perform Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, a majestic work infused with American folk themes and Bohemian soul.
