Free Parking and Toll gate on Jan 1, 2025: Abu Dhabi has unveiled its New Year 2025 transport updates, ensuring seamless mobility and convenience for residents and visitors during the celebrations. Here’s what you need to know:
Free Parking Announced
Surface parking fees across Abu Dhabi will be waived on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, in celebration of the New Year. Regular parking fees will resume at 8 AM on Thursday, January 2, 2025. Similarly, parking fees at the Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot will also be suspended during the holiday.
However, motorists are reminded to:
- Avoid parking in prohibited areas.
- Refrain from parking in residential spaces from 9 PM to 8 AM, respecting the rights of residents.
Toll Gate Timings
The Darb toll gate system will also be free of charge on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. Regular toll charges will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025, during peak hours:
- Morning peak: 7 AM to 9 AM.
- Evening peak: 5 PM to 7 PM.
Public Transport Updates
Customer Happiness Centres
The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) announced that all Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed on January 1, 2025. Services will resume on January 2. During this period, customers can still access services through:
